I started Mar Design because I kept seeing the same thing: developments that were well built, fully compliant, and designed for no one in particular. They sat on the market, the offers came in low, and they lost the margin they were meant to make. All of it avoidable, and it frustrated me.

Before Mar Design, I spent 20 years in prime and super-prime residential and hospitality, on schemes like Chelsea Barracks, the Four Seasons Hotel and One Blackfriars, across the UK, the UAE, Portugal and Asia. What that taught me is simple: the best developments in the world earn their premium because every decision starts with the people who will live, rent or stay there, and the experience it creates for their target market.

Now I bring that to boutique developers, investors and hoteliers. I look at a scheme the way you do, the buyer, the tenant or the guest, the numbers and the risk, and then I design it so it lands the moment they walk in, a home someone commits to, or a stay a guest comes back to and recommends. Get the market and the margin designed in from the start, and a development sells faster, lets stronger, drives a higher NOI as a hotel, and holds its value.

This matters to me beyond the numbers. I moved countries as a child, so I know how much a place shapes whether you feel settled. The homes and hotels people connect with are the ones that perform, and that is the whole point.
